About Us

Nottingham Writers' Club meet twice a month (once in August) at the Nottingham Mechanics on North Sherwood Street in Nottingham city centre (see map for location).

1^st Wednesday of the month - Speaker meeting, starts at 7.00pm, with a break at 8.00pm, and finishing at 9.00pm.

3^rd Wednesday of the month - Manuscript Meeting, starts at 7.15pm with a break at 8.00pm, and finishing at 9.00pm.

The Mechanics building has a buzzer entry system, is fully accessible, has street level entry at the front of the building, disabled toilets and a lift. Most of the meeting rooms are on the first floor. * There is a spacious bar on the ground floor serving soft drinks, tea, coffee, chocolate as well as alcohol and depending on the time of day, there are usually snacks available.
