Saturday Writing Community

Welcome to our Saturday writing community meeting. Our monthly Saturday afternoon at The Playwright returns for 2024, and we hope you’ll join us.

Arrive early, 12.30 pm, and enjoy time to have lunch and chat, before the meeting begins at 1.30.

Last month, the members agreed the writing challenge subject for January will be: Don’t Say Sorry. Write a story up to 800 words (it can be less) and/or a poem. It’s not compulsory, so don’t worry if you don’t have the time, or write that quickly.

We’ll listen to the resulting stories and poems from 1.30 onward, and after that it’s open to attendees. Need constructive feedback on a piece of writing, or is there a writing topic you want to ask about? Then here’s your opportunity.

You don’t need to be an NWC member to join in with our Saturday afternoon meetings, but we hope you’ll like being a part of our writing community and want to join the club- contact us for up to date details and the 2023/24 membership form.

At this time of the year, weather can be a major issue, so if there’s snow or storms, please check our social media platforms, and the website calendar,  for any changes to planned meetings.
